Arsenal end interest in Everton transfer target - why the Blues could look to pursue a move in January

Everton may have received a transfer boost with Arsenal unlikely to follow up on interest in Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser any time soon.

As well as Everton, Arsenal and Chelsea were also both reportedly keeping tabs on the 25-year old forward.

Marcel Brands was able to convince free agent Bernard to pick Everton over other interested clubs, so maybe he could do so again if Silva wanted to sign Fraser.

To be clear, it isn’t clear how much interest Everton hold in Fraser, but there were enough tenuous links in the summer for Arsenal’s interest having dissipate to become an important news story for the club.

While a number of clubs will likely come in for the winger, who has been in and out of Bournemouth’s starting line-up this season, Arsenal will reportedly not attempt to sign Fraser in January.

Fraser would be a strong option to deepen squad depth on a free transfer, or even for a cut-price figure in January.

The Bournemouth wide man was linked with Everton back in March and again in the summer, while pundit Tim Sherwood also suggested that the Scotland international should trade Dean Court for Goodison Park.
