Arsenal have reportedly entered negotiations over a move to sign Adrien Rabiot, as Juventus bid to raise funds for a possible swoop for Manchester United's Paul Pogba.

Rabiot was believed to be on Arsenal's radar during his time at Paris-Saint Germain - where he played under current Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti, who are believed to be in talks over the midfielder.

The French international joined Juve on a free transfer last summer, but has struggled to nail down a place, having made just 11 starts in Serie A this season.

The Turin giants were last week urged by their former player Alessio Tacchinardi to sell both Rabiot and former Arsenal man Aaron Ramsey in a bid to fund a move for United midfielder Pogba this summer.

And now the club have transfer-listed Rabiot, according to reports from France.

According to Le10Sport, the 25-year-old has been put up for sale with both Arsenal and Everton launching negotiations.

Rabiot could be paired with fellow Frenchman Matteo Guendouzi in the Arsenal midfield, while Everton will hope that the lure of working under Ancelotti again can persuade Rabiot to switch to Goodison Park.

Either way, Juventus are expected to demand at least 30million euros (£27m) for the midfielder's services.

Juventus are keen to be reunited with Pogba, who left Turin in a then world-record £89m move to United four years ago.

And Tacchinardi - who played for Juventus between 1994 and 2007 - believes the club must sell Rabiot and Ramsey to finance the move.

He told Tuttosport : “In order to get Pogba back, I would let Rabiot and Ramsey go, even if the Welshman did show a few signs of life in the last few games.”

Former Arsenal star Ramsey has struggled to put together a consistent run of games since joining Juventus last summer.
