Aston Villa vs Everton has been postponed due to Covid-19 cases in Dean Smith’s squad.
Players and staff are still in isolation, it has been confirmed, meaning the Premier League match, which was set for 17 Sunday at 12pm, has now called off.
Villa were forced to play their last game, against Liverpool in the FA Cup, without any first-team players after a coronavirus outbreak at their Bodymoor Heath training complex.
It follows Villa’s midweek match against Tottenham also being pulled, with Spurs instead facing Fulham, who have themselves been facing a battle with a Covid-19 outbreak.
A statement from Everton read: “Our away match against Aston Villa, scheduled to be played on Sunday at 12pm, has been postponed by the Premier League Board.”
