Aston Villa's clash with Everton at Villa Park on Sunday 17 January has been postponed by the Premier League
The Midlands outfit saw the squad hit by an outbreak of coronavirus which forced their first team stars and manager Dean Smith into isolation.
But a number of their players and staff remain in isolation and the Premier League has approved their request to postpone Sunday's game against Everton.
The Premier League though has resisted calls to halt the season with the nation now in its third lockdown as the government attempts to prevent the spread.
It was the same story for Tottenham's game with Fulham.
Several games throughout December had to be postponed due to the spread of the virus with Manchester City's game against Everton called off late in the day.
Villa though have been handed a revised date for the previously postponed clash against Newcastle, originally scheduled to take place on December 4.
It is resulting in a backlog of fixtures however with Villa already playing two games less than the majority of the teams in the league.
