Now, according to Phil McNulty at the BBC, Everton would be prepared to sell Lookman, but only at £25m, which would represent a big mark-up on the £8m paid to Charlton.

Everton are reportedly ready to do a deal to sell Ademola Lookman to RB Leipzig, but only if the German side stump up £25m for the former Charlton Athletic man.

Signed by Steve Walsh while Ronald Koeman was manager, Lookman made the grave error of scoring within moments of making his Everton debut, in a 4-0 win over Manchester City.

Lookman spent the second part of the 2017-18 season at Leipzig on loan and impressed the German side with his five goals in 11 games.

After initially not looking to be part of Marco Silva’s plans, Lookman was convinced to stay, but in interactions with fans has never appeared to have settled at Everton, and would favour a move.

Expectations rose exponentially, although Koeman went to lengths to protect him from that.

He beefed up and Leipzig wanted to sign him on a permanent basis.
