Everton have reportedly turned their attention to signing Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer before the window closes.

Carlo Ancelotti remains keen on strengthening his central defence, despite Michael Keane and Yerry Mina impressing in the absence of Mason Holgate during the weekend win at Tottenham.

Ancelotti wants a fourth senior central defender to provide him with options ahead of another gruelling campaign.

And Football Insider claims that an Everton source has told them that Bremer is in their sights.

The 23-year-old also notched five goals and added three assists as Torino finished 16th in Serie A. Everton previously missed out on Arsenal new boy Gabriel Magalhaes, having held talks with the player.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Witness), the deal never got off the ground with Leeds believing the fee was too “expensive” and whilst also meeting with resistance when negotiating with Barca.

Meanwhile, Everton have been touted as prime candidates to sign Barcelona’s Rafinha Alcantara, claims a report.
