Marco Silva will not complain if Everton don't add to their squad in the January window.

And the Blues boss says he'll not use any transfer inactivity as a way to deflect criticism – as he suspects other managers at Goodison would.

“Of course, all the coaches want to do everything they can in one transfer window,” Silva said.

Silva has drawn up a list of targets and would jump at the chance to sign them this month but knows he is likely to have to remain patient and wait until the summer.

And the Everton manager insists he will not be using a quiet window as the reason for any poor results.

“The club signed 12 players last season and at the end some of them didn't perform as we expect.

“When I joined the club, what the club asked of me was not to be done in six months, not something to be done in one season,” he said.
