Everton captain Phil Jagielka remains in the dark over his Goodison future.

Speaking to the ECHO following the defeat to Fulham on Saturday, Jagielka was asked if he had any idea what was going to happen over his Blues future and said: “No.

Jagielka is out of contract this summer but says he has been given no indication if a new deal will be offered or not.

Jagielka insists the contract uncertainty is not weighing too heavily on his mind but admits he would like to know “sooner rather than later”.

“We've got a lot of players out on loan and a lot of players we may be interested in and I'm sure there is going to be another sizeable turnaround in the summer so you have to be patient.

“You would prefer to know as quick as possible,” he said.

“We win together as a team and lose together as a team but as far as my future, it will happen as and when it does.” Marco Silva has said that decisions over new deals for Jagielka and Leighton Baines would have to wait until the end of the season.
