Everton are believed to be putting together a fresh list of potential right-back targets for the summer as they try and find the long-term heir to Coleman's throne.

Kenny  was hoping his season on loan at Bundesliga outfit Schalke would put him in a position to challenge Seamus Coleman for Everton's right-back slot.

The 23-year-old was part of the Blues' matchday squad for only the ninth time in the league this season and could be on the move this month.

Jonjoe Kenny was an unused substitute for Everton during the 2-1 win at Wolves last night amid growing uncertainty over his Goodison future.

Burnley are believed to be weighing up a move for Kenny but, so far, there have been no talks between Everton and the Turf Moor club.

But the Academy product has made only one start in the league, with Carlo Ancelotti preferring Mason Holgate in that position of late.

The Italian also favoured Alex Iwobi at right-wing back when he changed Everton's formation to a 3-4-3 before Christmas.
