Everton defender Matthew Pennington says it is time for him to “settle down” and play regular football for a permanent club.

I don’t know what’s happening with Everton.

Pennington has made just nine appearances for Everton since making his debut for the club in 2015.

It could be here but I don’t know.

Pennington is currently on loan at Ipswich Town, having moved to Portman Road in the summer.

There doesn’t appear to be a future for him under Marco Silva, and at 24, he can no longer necessarily be viewed as a young player with potential.

It is the latest in a string of temporary switches and Pennington says now is the time to think about possible leaving Everton: It would be nice to settle down somewhere.
