Despite signing Moise Kean and Alex Iwobi in the summer, Everton still don’t have much depth in the way of genuinely creative players who can make an impact on the team, and Zaha would certainly improve the options at Marco Silva’s disposal.

I think Everton should definitely at least enquire about Zaha’s availability in January, ahead of potentially making a new offer.

The Ivory Coast international was desperate to leave the Eagles, with both Arsenal and Everton interested, and while Zaha was happy to join either the powers that be wouldn’t allow him to depart.

Should Everton go back in for Zaha, and does the sacking of his agent spell positive news for the Toffees?

Wilfried Zaha has reportedly told his agent that he wants to terminate their contract after he wasn’t able to get a transfer away from Selhurst Park this summer.

With Zaha sacking his agent it has been further made clear that the player wants to leave Palace, and with Nicolas Pepe costing Arsenal a fortune, it doesn’t look likely that they’ll reignite their interest.

According to a report from The Times, Zaha has now informed his agent and USM representative Will Salthouse in writing that he wants to bring their working relationship to an end, citing the agent’s relationship with Palace chairman Steve Parish.
