Tottenham 'confident' of tying up Hojbjerg move

Spurs are 'confident' of sealing a deal for reported Everton target Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, according to the Telegraph.

They reported last month that the Blues were interesting in signing the Southampton captain but now say (via Hitc) that the 24-year-old Dane favours a move to White Hart Lane over any other destination.

The midfielder looks likely to move on this summer with just one year left on his Southampton contract and the Saints are said to have put a £35million price tag on his head, having already stripped him of the club captaincy.

And after watching him last night, they have been very impressed...

@FredBluedog: I’d be made up with signing him but he won’t come cheap and rightfully so

@armchairtoffees: Thumbs up from me! Great crosser that DCL and Richardson could feed off.

@Bruce_Wayne_05: Would be a great signing. Him and a speedster down the other wing. Would frighten defenders in Carlo's 4-4-2

"It’s crazy, the rules and regulations with the coronavirus situation.

"They’ve got enough on their plate right now, they’ve just got to finish their season and we’ll see from there. But no, nothing’s really come from Everton yet."
