Marco Silva will need to sort out Everton’s inconsistencies in the summer transfer window with new additions – should he still be in charge – as the club continue to fall well short of expectations from many.

According to a report by Buzz Sport in France, Everton are open to offers for Idrissa Gana Gueye amid interest from Olympique de Lyonnais.

However, it appears the club could be prepared to allow one of their key players to leave in the summer should they receive any offers for him.

Firstly, considering that Everton rejected offers from Paris Saint-Germain in the winter transfer window worth a considerable amount more than the values being suggested, it would be difficult to see the Toffees accepting that low.

It is claimed that the Toffees are hoping for bids of at least 20-25million (£17-£21m) for the Senegal international maestro as the 29-year-old’s future at Goodison Park does not appear to be certain.

However, with that said, Gueye’s future at Goodison Park certainly appears to be coming to an end as he has not looked at his best in the middle of the park for a while and the club could look to cash in on him and replace him with a younger and talented star.

A departure may come as a blow initially, however, with the right recruitment and enough time, Gueye is ultimately replaceable and Everton should seriously consider thinking about offloading him in the summer.
