Anthony Gordon, the young Everton winger Marco Silva has been forced to fend off interest from Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich in, grabbed another headline today with a late equaliser in Everton Under-23s 2-2 draw at Tottenham Hotspur.

Gordon isn't the only in-form youngster at Everton.

David Unsworth's young team trailed 2-0 in London before Bassala Sambou reduced the arrears three minutes before half-time.

Then four minutes from the end of the Premier League 2 clash 17-year-old substitute Gordon converted a low cross from fellow substitute Manasse Mampala to snatch a point and claim his first goal for the Blues' Under-23 team.

Bundesliga giants Dortmund and Bayern have both been linked with moves for the teenager but Silva was adamant that any moves for Gordon would be discouraged.

"We have to keep our best players and our young players are improving and showing they want something more at the club.

Gordon, who does not turn 18 until February, made club history in the Europa League last season when he became the first player born this century to make a first team appearance for the Blues.
