Everton have struck a deal with USM over naming rights on the club's proposed new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Earlier this month, Usmanov said he was prepared to sanction USM becoming a naming rights partner and suggested the stadium could be known as the “USM Arena”.

Tottenham Hotspur have, reportedly, struggled to find a company to meet their supposed £20m a year demands for a naming rights deal.

A heads of terms agreement has been reached on a multi-year deal with USM, should they decide to trigger the options and become the naming rights partner for Everton's new home on the waterfront.

The Blues have tonight announced the agreement which sees the holding company, founded by Alisher Usmanov, pay the club £30m this year for the option of becoming the new ground's main sponsor.

USM already have existing deals with the club as a naming rights partner for Finch Farm, as a sleeve sponsor for training wear as well as on matchdays at Goodison.

Everton have not revealed the value of the deal in principle they have struck with USM, only confirming it is at a pre-agreed value and length of time, and it is at current 'market rates'.
