It's a big night for Everton's youngsters as Paul Tait's Under-18s side are in FA Youth Cup action against their Brighton & Hove Albion counterparts under the lights at Goodison Park.

The Blues - who have previously lifted the trophy in 1965, 1984 and 1998 - are bidding for a place in the fifth round of this season's competition away at West Bromwich Albion next month.

Everton experienced high drama in the previous round as they raced into a 2-0 lead at Stoke City only to be pegged back in the 93rd minute and forced into extra time.

The match went to penalties with visiting keeper Harry Tyrer proving to be the hero – saving three of the Potters spot-kicks.

The ECHO's Everton correspondent Phil Kirkbride will be in attendance at Goodison Park providing regular updates while we have Chris Beesley manning the fort back at ECHO HQ at St Paul's Square in Liverpool city centre.
