Everton's wage bill compared to Premier League and European rivals as global sports salaries list is released

Everton have the sixth biggest average wage bill in the Premier League, it has been revealed in a new report.

La Liga giants Barcelona top the global list with an average weekly pay of £188,993, ahead of Spanish rivals Real Madrid (£171,611) and Serie A champions Juventus, who are third on the list with an average weekly pay of £155,487.

The top 50 of the list also includes teams from Major League Baseball and the Indian Premier League, with the average annual salary per player in the Premier League is £3,173,264, which is up 6.1% year on year.



Manchester United are next on the list of English Premier League sides with an average weekly pay of £117,800, which puts them 33rd on the global list.

And Everton are 57th in the global list for their wage bill, with the average annual pay standing at £4,101,760, which equates to an average weekly pay of £78,880.

And below is the full breakdown of the average annual pay of Premier League clubs, however it is worth noting that signing-on fees, loyalty bonuses or performance add-ons are not included in the figures.

Manchester City has the highest average pay of any Premier League club, standing at £134,375 weekly, which puts them 13th on the global list.
