According to the Daily Express, Everton are keen on Michy Batshuayi and could make a move for the Chelsea striker this summer.

Whether he’s worth the money remains to be seen – nine goals in 41 Premier League games (Chelsea, Crystal Palace) isn’t the most convincing return.

The Belgian international has a £40m asking price and earns £4.7m-a-year/£90k-per-week at Stamford Bridge.

Batshuayi is currently on loan at Crystal Palace as he’s deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea.

Everton could look to take advantage, but they’ll have to match his asking price to stand a chance of talking to the Belgian.

Chelsea paid £33m in 2016 to sign Batshuayi but will be in line to make a profit this summer.

The Toffees are in the market for a new striker to potentially replace Cenk Tosun, but Batshuayi won’t come cheap.
