Everton have already spent £7m on signing Onyekuru and have paid the forward £1.6m-a-year/£31k-per-week – more than £10m in total over two years.

Henry Onyekuru has an uncertain future at Everton.

The Blues are facing a third season without Onyekuru, and the amount of money spent without him making an appearance is adding up.

Onyekuru has failed to attain a work permit to play for Everton, forcing him to be loaned out until his application is accepted, but he’s had no luck since 2017 and might have to spend another year away.

The 21-year-old has spent two years at Goodison Park without making a single appearance and could be moving on this summer.

Onyekuru was loaned back to RSC Anderlecht (42 appearances, 15 goals, six assists) in July, 2017 and spent the 2018/19 season at Galatasaray (28 appearances, 10 goals).

Onyekuru made his debut for Nigeria in 2017, made his second appearance five months later and had to wait a year to make his third outing.
