(Photo by Alessandro Sabattini/Getty Images) Another weekend, another round of Everton rumours and one story has surfaced claiming that Juventus will not be sanctioning a move away from the club by Adrian Rabiot this summer.

Everton have been strongly linked in repeated stories with a move for the supposedly unsettled star, even apparently going as far as talking to his his agent who is also his mum.

Obviously, again, this is just another of these articles that surface every now and then, it doesn’t necessarily mean the Toffees are in contact or on the other hand, won’t be still interested and try and sign the Frenchman.

However, it does seem increasingly likely that the former PSG star won’t be able to get the supposedly desired reunion with his former boss Carlo Ancelotti.

According to the story in, the Juventus Sporting Director has ruled out a move away from Turin for the player this summer, to either Everton or any other Premier League club.

The rangy midfield man has only spent less than one season in Italy and it’s likely that Juventus will want to see a full, uninterrupted season out of him next term before making any decision on his long-term future.

Rabiot is a very talented footballer, who would probably be the kind of player Ancelotti wants in his midfield.  But he’s also one that seems to come with plenty of baggage and an indifferent disciplinary record.

Given all that I think it’s unlikely Rabiot will be donning a royal blue shirt next season as an Everton player. And there are though other midfield targets who might seem more realistic and affordable too in the current transfer market.

In other news, Blues boss Ancelotti has hinted he might like to stay longer than his current deal, which is currently four and half years.

In an article in the Liverpool Echo, the Italian says he still has the hunger to win and achieve things in the game and wants to feel he is at a club that values him and wants him to stay and coach for the long-term and continue to build a legacy.

Interestingly given what we were talking about in terms of how Everton can and should learn from their neighbours’ title success, this is just the kind of thing Toffees fans would want to hear.

We have to believe that at last with Ancelotti now ensconced as manager, Everton have created enough stability to make some genuine progress.
