That's according to Red Devils hero Gary Pallister, who believes Rojo is behind Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in the pecking order.

Maguire joined United for £80million from Leicester toward the end of the transfer window but the club are now lumbered with seven central defenders as a result of the move.

Maguire slots right into a starting centre-back partnership with Victor Lindelof, but the likes of Smalling, Jones and Rojo are all waiting to get their chance.

Pallister, who played alongside United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford, believes Rojo will be the first out the door.

"Rojo nearly left for Everton so obviously he looks as though he will be the one that would be let go, as United are willing to sell him on," he told American Gambler.

Rojo is thought to be angry that he hasn't managed to get his move away from United, who last week rejected a proposal from Everton, according to The Times.

Everton put forward a loan deal but United wanted a permanent transfer - a hiccup which is said to have frustrated Rojo.
