Team News

Marco Silva has no fresh injury concerns for the visit of Bournemouth to Goodison Park on Sunday.

Standout performers Lucas Digne, Andre Gomes and Richarlison were all rested for the FA Cup third-round win over Lincoln City and could return to the starting line-up.

For the Cherries, frontmen Callum Wilson, Joshua King and Ryan Fraser could need late checks to determine their fitness, but new signing Nathaniel Clyne is in contention to make his Premier League bow after being handed a debut in his new club's FA Cup defeat by Brighton last Saturday.

Clyne, signed on loan from Liverpool, covers the absences of right-backs Simon Francis and Adam Smith (both knee), who are long term absentees, while another new signing – Dominic Solanke – is set for a February return from a hamstring injury.

Players To Watch

Callum Wilson is Bournemouth’s top goalscorer this season and his form for the Cherries is said to be attracting admiring glances from elsewhere around the Premier League.

The former Coventry forward scored on his England debut back in November, turning home a Fabian Delph cross to help the Three Lions to a 3-0 win over the United States.

That was one of 11 goals for club and country this season.

He has been helped in spades by Scotland winger Ryan Fraser. The former Aberdeen trainee leads the Premier League with nine assists alongside Chelsea’s Eden Hazard. At the back, Steve Cook has a league-best 140 clearances.

Facts And Figures

This will be just the 12th time Everton have met Bournemouth in all competitions, home and away. The Blues have won seven, drawn two and lost two, including winning all three Premier League meetings at Goodison Park.

If Seamus Coleman plays in the match it will be his 276th appearance for the Toffees in all competitions, which will see him match Joe Royle. One more start for the Irishman will bring up 250 for the Toffees.
