KV Kortrijk’s may not trigger his buying option at the end of the season.

Hornby’s decision to leave Everton initially paid off as he was regularly playing and scoring in the First Division A, but he’s gone off the boil since November and fallen down the pecking order as a result.

Where will Everton finish in the Premier League?

Fraser Hornby’s loan spell at Koninklijke Voetbalclub Kortrijk hasn’t gone to plan with the 20-year-old being dropped by Yves Vanderhaeghe, suggesting that a permanent move won’t be on the horizon.

He hasn’t found the back of the net since KV Kortrijk’s 3-1 defeat to Waasland-Beveren (November 9, 2019), however, which is why he’s no longer commanding a starting place.

Everton had high hopes for Hornby after his 16 goals for the u18s and 11 goals/assists for the u233s, but things haven’t panned out in Belgium.

The Scottish u21 international has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring and creating five goals.
