It’s hard to see a top-flight side taking a punt given he’s a reserve team player and has underperformed at two different Premier League clubs in the last three years.

According to Phil Kirkbride of the Liverpool Echo, Brendan Galloway is ‘likely to leave’ Everton this summer, with the 23-year-old being deemed surplus to requirements despite leading the Blues u23s to the Premier League 2 title.

Galloway has been short of playing time in the Everton first-team, but he’s turned his career around with success in the reserves and should have offers over the summer.

And given he hasn’t made a Premier League appearance for the Toffees since December 2015, Galloway might have to settle for a Championship move this summer.

Since joining Everton from MK Dons in 2014, he’s had unsuccessful loan spells at West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland.

Leighton Baines and Lucas Digne have kept the Englishman out of Marco Silva’s matchday squad this season, and it appears to be more likely that a replacement will be signed for Baines – should he be released this summer – than Galloway being promoted.

According to Spotrac, Galloway earns £23k-per-week at Goodison Park and has one year left on his deal.
