Muhamed Besic could be on his way out of Everton this summer after struggling for form, fitness and playing time at Goodison Park.

The defensive midfielder has suffered injury problems throughout his time at Everton, but he’s performed well for Middlesbrough to somewhat resurrect his career.

In the Championship, he’s turned out for the playoff chasers 32 times, averaged 32 passes-per-game with 86% accuracy, created 42 chances, made 49 successful dribbles (63%) and has averaged a tackle (49) or interception (20) every 29 minutes.

It’s now up to Besiktas and Fenerbahce to make a move.

Besic still has two years remaining on his contact at Everton, but the Blues have no desire to keep him into next season.

According to The Sun, Besiktas and Fenerbahce are interested in his signature and could lodge a bid in the coming weeks.

The 26-year-old has made 56 appearances in all competitions since joining from Ferencvaros in 2014 and finds himself on the periphery after falling down the pecking order.
