Manchester United are ready to offer a defensive star a new double-your-money deal, while Tottenham have dropped a hint over Christian Eriksen’s future, according to Thursday’s papers.

LINDELOF SET FOR BUMPER NEW DEAL

Manchester United are reportedly ready to offer Victor Lindelof a £46.8m contract, following Barcelona’s summer interest in the defender.

The Sweden international impressed last season, having initially struggled to make his mark following his arrival in 2017.

And Lindelof is set to be rewarded with a double-your-money contract worth a staggering £46.8million after summer interest from the Catalan giants.

The centre-back’s current contract has two years left to run, with the 25-year-old currently earning £75,000-a-week and Manchester United, while United can also extend that deal for a further year.

Lindelof is set to be offered a contract worth £150,000-a-week that would keep him at Old Trafford until 2025, that would mean he would earn an incredible £46.8m over the duration of the deal – as reported in the Daily Express.

The Swedish star impressed alongside new United recruit Harry Maguire last weekend in their Premier League opener against Chelsea, forming what already looks to be a formidable partnership.
