Spurs could lose two key players to Premier League rivals this summer, while talks are intensifying over a potential Chelsea sale, according to Sunday’s papers.

Manchester United are ready to triple the wages of Christian Eriksen to bring the Denmark international to Old Trafford this summer, a report claims.

Spurs want to keep the midfielder, but moneyman Daniel Levy may decide to offload the 27-year-old with his contract expiring in 2020.

It means Spurs will need to tie him down to another long-term deal to protect his value or else sell him this summer, with Inter Milan and Juventus linked recently.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to offer Eriksen a stay in the Premier League, as The Mirror claim that he has made him a top target for the summer.

The report claims that ‘United bosses are willing to treble Eriksen’s weekly wage to £240,000-a-week’ to lure the playmaker to Manchester.

Even with just a year left on his deal they’d ‘have to pay a hefty transfer fee up to £95million or more’, with Daniel Levy ready to play hard ball and try avoid losing a prized asset to a Premier League rival.

However, Spurs have apparently begun looking for Eriksen’s successor, and Leicester’s James Maddison is ‘on their list of potential successors’.
