Police have given an update on four Liverpool men who were arrested after Everton's clash with Watford on Saturday.
A spokesperson for the force said on Saturday night: "We are aware a number of reports are currently circulating stating that two football fans were stabbed following the Watford V Everton match this afternoon (Saturday, February 9).
Today, police provided an update on the four Liverpool men who had been arrested stating that one 22-year-old man had be released with no further action.
"Two Watford fans on ground covered in blood.
"A physical altercation is alleged to have occurred between a group of men after the match, resulting in two men sustaining facial injuries.
Post on social media on Saturday night stated that the two people injured were Watford fans.
Reports on social media suggested that someone had been stabbed but Hertfordshire Police confirmed that this was not the case.
