Southampton are reportedly targeting a £20million summer move for Everton forward Ademola Lookman.

The 21-year-old worked with Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl while on loan at RB Leipzig in 2018 and has struggled to make any impact at Everton since returning to Goodison Park.

And according to the Independent, the former England Under-21 international has been put up for sale, with Hasenhuttl keen to push through a £20million summer transfer.

Lookman spent six months in the Bundesliga working with Hasenhuttl, during what was a productive loan spell. He scored five goals from 11 appearances, but despite their intentions, Leipzig were unable to make the deal permanent.

The youngster has made only three Premier League appearances under Marco Silva since returning to Merseyside, who no longer sees the youngster as part of his plans.

Hasenhuttl reportedly sees the former Charlton player as well suited to his pressing style of football,  but faces competition from his former employers Leipzig, who remain interested, while Bournemouth are also keeping tabs on the situation.
