Richarlison has issued an apology after being shown a red card in the Merseyside derby for a reckless tackle on Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara.

The Everton star explained that he did not intend to hurt the Spain international while outlining why he believes the tackle, which took place in the 90th minute, was "inevitable".
