It was revealed recently by The Times that Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck will not be rewarded a new contract, and will, therefore, leave the club at the end of the season, which should be of big interest to Everton.

As a consequence, summer signing Richarlison has been deployed as a striker by manager Marco Silva, but the Portuguese would surely want a recognised striker at the club.

Both are capable of playing as strikers and wingers, and it is this versatility that would surely make them a lethal combination and could well make Everton contenders for the top four.

Subsequently, a lot of clubs are now going to pursue the England striker, who, when fit, is one of the best forwards in the country.

Everton is also a club that can promise Welbeck regular game time, whilst still being in the upper echelons of the league.

Alongside Richarlison, who has been one of the players of the season so far, Welbeck could forge one of the best attacking partnerships in the league.

The Toffees are currently lacking an out-and-out striker, as January signing Cenk Tosun is failing to adjust to life in the Premier League.
