Carlo Ancelotti has commented on the documentary ‘Everton: Howard’s Way’ and endeavours to become a similar manager to Howard Kendall.

The official Everton Twitter has posted comments made by the manager after he watched the club’s documentary on the successful 1980s era. Ancelotti has revealed he has a goal to become a manager like Kendall, who managed the Blues between 1981 and 1987, 1990 to 1993 and then again for a year in 1997.

Yes, definitely No

The Italian became the new Everton manager in December after Marco Silva was dismissed following a torrid run of form in the Premier League (via BBC Sport). The Blues were locked in a relegation battle early on the season after losing six games in ten (via Everton) but are currently 12th in the Premier League after an impressive turnaround under Ancelotti. They sit six points away from sixth-placed Wolves.

Many Toffees fans have reacted to the 60-year-old’s quotes and showed their appreciation for him. One supporter is delighted with Ancelotti, commenting that he is ‘ticking all the right boxes’.

The man is just class and full of humility. CV wise he’s better than Kendall but he knows how much he means to us and appreciates what he’s done and talks about being as good as him for us. Top class! ??????
