It’s not like a second temporary return to the Turk Telekom Arena would necessarily be a bad thing for us, either, if Onyekuru cannot obtain a UK work permit, as he was linked with a permanent switch to Bayern Munich last month with a fee of €25million (£22.1m) suggested.

Hurriyet are now claiming the Turkish champions hope they can pursued us into another temporary deal now that the domestic season has drawn to a close, as manager Fatih Terim is vigorously intent on retaining his services after the Nigerian scored 16 goals in all competitions, and laid on six assists, for his side.

Everton winger Henry Onyekuru has almost endlessly been linked with another loan move to Galatasaray ever since he joined the Super Lig side last summer, and the rumours refuse to go away.

Terim’s club are even willing to walk away from a potential option-to-buy clause, as we had rejected the proposal in the discussions held to date, where we allegedly indicated a willingness to send the 22-year-old back to the Turk Telekom Arena for the 2019/20 season.

It’s unclear as to how productive those discussions were for either side of the table, but it does not look like they were promising for Cimbom if they are now returning to the negotiating table requesting a loan deal on revised terms which favour us.

A loan deal with Aslanlar may actually suit Onyekuru, too, as his agent revealed earlier in the week to Estadio Deportivo that his client was ‘open to everything’ this summer, after suggesting in an interview with Radyospor (as quoted by Ajansspor) that we would be willing to see our winger re-join Galatasaray.

Those discussions were likely held over the first week of July, as reports in May claimed representatives of Cimbom would be heading to England in order to hold talks with our Director of Football Marcel Brands.
