Everton say players' changing rooms at their proposed new stadium will be inspired by those at Wembley.

And the Blues have also included the addition of extra changing facilities in the designs submitted as part of their planning application to Liverpool City Council.

The two additional rooms will, the club hope, allow them to bid to host multi-team friendly games or competitions in the future, which will act as another revenue stream to come from the £500m new ground at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Everton have taken their lead on the design of the two main changing rooms at the 52,888 capacity stadium from those at Wembley and the idea of having “inter connecting” rooms has also been proposed.

The players' facilities will be housed in the West Stand of the new stadium on the city's waterfront which would act as Everton's new Main Stand.

It will also house the majority of the club's hospitality seats as well as being the side of the ground in which media are situated.
